Hello World: Why I'm Building This Site
I’ve been thinking about building this site for a while. As someone who straddles veterinary medicine, AI research, and technology consulting, I’ve never had a single place that captures all of it. My academic site was stuck in 2022. My consultancy site spoke to clients but not to collaborators. Neither site had a blog.
So here we are.
What to expect
This site is where I’ll write about the things I spend my days thinking about:
- AI in biology and medicine — how NLP, LLMs, and generative AI are reshaping clinical informatics, bioinformatics, and drug discovery
- Tech strategy — the build-vs-buy decisions, platform choices, and MLOps patterns I advise on through Datatroph Solutions
- Veterinary medicine meets AI — antimicrobial stewardship, clinical data mining, and the One Health framework
- Building things — the craft of turning research insights into working products
Why now?
The intersection of AI and biology is moving faster than any field I’ve seen. Every week brings new models, new applications, new questions about what’s possible. I want a place to think in public about these developments — not just summarize them, but connect them to the clinical and scientific work that gives them meaning.
If you’re interested in where biology meets machine intelligence, subscribe to the newsletter. I’ll be writing regularly.
Let’s build something interesting.
